When we come home after a slow day at the office it is easy to ignore the mess at home for one more day as we just might not care enough at that moment to give it more thought. When we go back to work the next day we presume our office cleaners to have cleaned up the place so we don’t have to worry about it. Do we even stop to consider the people that go around after us and clean up? Whilst we are at work and running around trying to wrap up things on time we can leave a pretty large pile of trash to clean up and do not really give it more thought. The majority offices have rubbish bins in them and generally not that far from where we sit so maybe we should be depositing the rubbish in them. Along with the litter in the office, dishes are also a large issue. We tend to place our coffee cups next to the rubbish that we leave behind and do not really mind if it stays there or not. Now though some of us do not get paid to go to work and clean that does not mean we should be lazy and just leave stuff lying around for someone else to clean up.

Although it may be someone else’s job to clean up after us it does not mean that we should take advantage of that and just leave everything for them to clean up. Office cleaners have a life and families to go home to too and do not want to be at work longer than they have to just because some people cannot wash their own plates and cups and put rubbish in the bins.

There are many things we can do to help those people that come in after us following a long day of their own and have to clean up our mess.
