I love buying beautiful clothes but I am not good at caring them. I often get stains on them when I have my meals. In the past, I did not really know a proper way to remove those stains. I just put my clothes into the washing machine and hoped the laundry detergent was powerful enough to remove them. Of course, the result is not really satisfactory. Though the stains may be lighted, I can still notice them on my clothes. Then, I start learning the proper ways of stains removal.
Tea stains on clothes are very common as we all like different kinds of tea. As tea is brown or dark brown in color, when it gets on clothes, it is really noticeable. If you are not able to remove the tea stain, I am not sure if you wish to wear those clothes again. Washing your clothes with hot water is the best and easiest way to remove the stain right after a tea spill. If you miss the right timing, you need other procedures. Mix water and salt into a highly concentrated salt solution. Soak you clothes for a while and then wash it.
Another common stain in brown is coffee stain. Like tea stain, washing with hot water right after a coffee spill will be absolutely fine to remove the coffee stain. For an old coffee, you need to get some glycerin and egg yolk. Mix the glycerin and egg yolk and apply it onto the coffee stain. Then wash the clothes with water when the mixture is dry.
Other than tea and coffee, children sometimes get chewing gums stuck on their clothes. It is really difficult to remove the dried chewing gums. To remove the dried chewing gums is not really difficult. But you need to be a bit patient for that. First, take a small knife and remove the chewing gums from the clothes. You will not be able to remove all of them but a large bit of them. Then get some egg white and apply to the remaining stains. After a while, the stains become looser and you can brush the stains away with a toothbrush. Finally soak the clothes into soapy water and rinse with water.
Children love all different kinds of juice and they easily get juice stains on their clothes. Some of the juice stains like grape juice and cherry juice are more difficult to clean. I have two cleaning suggestions for you. First, sprinkle some table salt onto the juice stain. Then add a little bit water to dissolve the salt. Wash the clothes with soapy water after 15 minutes. Other than salt, you can also try vinegar and lemon juice. Add a few drops of white vinegar or lemon juice onto the stain. Wait for 15 minutes and then rinse with water.
Actually, you can find a lot of other methods for removing stains. Quite a lot of these methods involve different kinds of chemicals. These chemicals are harmful to your and your children’s skin. Therefore, whenever it is possible, you should avoid them and switch to natural cleaners like vinegar, lemon juice, salt, etc.
