Every household has cleaning materials that are, essentially, not to be played with, even kept away for safety purposes. These materials contain harmful ingredients, chemicals, to be exact, that not only cause health dangers, but some of which are strong enough that one is advised to use gloves when you are to use it.

These cleaning materials contain substances and chemicals that, basically, clean the area and ensure safety. This means that you can’t be too careful in handling these substances.

Natural cleaning products require more time for the whole cleaning process to be done, and you have to exert more effort as you go through the process. Scrubbing and repetitions are commonplace when you utilize this type of cleaning products. On the other hand, commercial cleaning supplies hardly require you to scrub, mixing is not necessary, and waiting period is virtually non existent.

But in spite of the disadvantages mentioned above when it comes to using natural cleaning supplies, there are also some benefits when you use them. For one thing, these products are relatively inexpensive; you only make use of home products you can find in your kitchen, such as vinegar. Moreover, these products are long-lasting, and they rarely have expiration periods.

A vacuum may work on the dust and dirt on your carpet, but this does not have the capacity to go beyond the top. What it can clean would be dust particles that can easily be seen, but you can’t expect to have all the dirt even from underneath, and those that cling and stick to the carpet fibre, especially those that have been there for quite a long time.

So when dealing with harmful substances, in this case, industrial cleaning materials, make sure you read the label first. Those cleaning materials that have chlorine and phosphate as part of the ingredients may need to be handled with more precaution.

Some commercial cleaning supplies trigger allergic reactions, respiratory problems, and headaches. This is because such products contain hazardous chemicals like ammonia and sodium hypochlorite which cause irritation to our respiratory system.

Those with pre-existing medical conditions like heart and respiratory problems are advised not to use cleaning products containing heavy amounts of chemicals. Additionally, preservatives such as paraben which are added to cleaning products may cause cancer.

As you can see, commercial cleaning supplies pose some danger to your health and to the planet. Environmentally-concerned citizens are especially worried about how these products endanger our surroundings. And since there are tons of cleaning products manufactured every year, it is no wonder our planet is in such a terrible state.

Commercial cleaning products may be very effective in keeping our home clean, but in return, it contributes greatly to harming us, our family, and our environment.
